TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - During last night’s debate, presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto promised to realize a truly self-sufficient country in providing food, energy, and water supply if he gets elected.
The second presidential debate was held on Sunday, February 17, that highlighted issues of energy, food security, infrastructure, natural resources, and environment.
“We must stand on our own two feet, we must be self-sufficient in foods supply, energy, and water supply in order to survive,” said Prabowo in the debate’s session where candidates presented their programs.
He maintained that both he and running-mate Sandiaga Uno will attempt to provide affordable foods across the entire nation, which he says adheres to the United Nations’ benchmark of a country’s success.
Prabowo Subianto’s presidential program presentation last night talked about issues that are arguably common among Indonesians and promised to help farmers and fishermen earn a better income and also promised to drop electricity tariffs.
